Coach Puah

Puah was born and raised in Malaysia. He was a student of Coach Ong Ewe Hock, an All England Silver Medalist from Malaysia. Puah started playing badminton competitively at the age of 12 year old representing his home state in very competitive Malaysia’s junior circuits. He also competed internationally in the Philippine, Indonesia and Thailand.

After the junior year, Puah played as a professional player representing the Klang United Badminton Club of the Purple League of Malaysia. This is a prestigious professional badminton league in Malaysia. As a part of the Klang’s team, he played and trained together with many well-known international players such Kevin Sanjaya, Kenichi Tago and Tommy Sugiarto

In 2017, Puah moved to the U.S. and started to play in local tournaments in the U.S. He wants to share his knowledge and helps local young talents. His goal is to inspire these young talents to learn badminton and enjoy the sports through a combination of fun, energetic and stern training approach.
